What are Determiners?

"Determiners are used before noun to  indicate particular person or thing."

Types of        

determiners?

1) Articles 
"A, An, The" are mainly 

three Types of articles.

USE OF "A"
It is commonly used for

 sound of consonants.

List of consonants 
-b c d - f g h - j k l m n - 

p q r s t - v w x y z

Use of "A" with example: 
A book,
A table, 
A Mobile, 
A Bed, 
A pen,

USE OF "AN"
"An" is commonly used 

for the sound of vowels.
List of vowels:
A, E, i, o, U

Use of "An" with example:
An apple
An orange
An hour
An honest man
An M.L.A.
An ink-pot
An Umbrella ☂️ 

USE OF "The"

"The" is commonly used for great, unique, religious, cultural, cast, species and natural things.

Examples of "the"
The Ramayana
The lion
The God
The tea
The mango tree
The Ganga
The Sea
The moon
The Earth
The internet 

2) Demonstrative:-

This, That, Those,Those are four types of demonstrative determiners.

Use Of "This"

This is use for nearby 

singular Objects.

Examples of "This"

This is a cellphone. 📱

This is an Umbrella. ☂️

This is an orange. 🍊

This is an ear.👂

                               

 Use Of "That"

This is use for far far 

away singular Objects.

Examples of "That"

That is a cellphone.                        📱

That is an Umbrella.                       ☂️

That is an orange.                           🍊

That is an ear.                                   👂

  3) Possessive

Possessive determiners denotes ownership link of an object.

My, Our, Your, Their, His,

 Her, it's.

Examples 

*You are my brother.

*I am your genius student.

*She is my wife.

*He is my worker.

*It is depend on their skills 

to get job.

4) Interrogative

These are used to make questions.

 What, why, where, how, who, whose, whom, which, how much, how many etc.

Examples

* The students who were absent yesterday please 

stand up.

*The smile what you give is same forever.

*Whose book is this?

*Which dress did you buy?

5) Quantifiers

There are three types of quantifier determiners

1) Plural Quantifier

These are countable determiners as

Many, Several, Few

Examples of "MANY"

*I have many friends.

Examples of "Several"

* There are several books to read.

Examples of "Few"

* You have few friends.

Examples of "Much"

* Today you drank much

 water.

Examples of "LITTLE "

* There is little water in

 the jug.

1) Singular Quantifier

These are uncountable Quantifier determiners as Some, Any.

Examples of "Some "

My grandfather has some

 coins in his pocket.

Examples of "Any "

Have you any query?

6) Distributive Determiners

Either: it is used to make a positive sense

Examples of "Either "

* You can use either of

 these fans.

* Either of you can do this 

work.

Neither: it is used to make a negative sense.

Examples of "Neither "

* I like neither of these 

places.

* Neither of you will 

swim in this pool.

Every: it is used in singular 

as a whole nothing will be

left.

Examples of "Every "

*Every student raise your

 hand.

Note: here we can also use ALL. But all is a plural as 

well as singular number.

Ex. All the students have to raise hands.

Each: it is used in the sense of one by one.

Examples of "Each "

* Each student have to submit their assignment.
