Concept of surface area and volumes in Mensuration


Introduction to Mensuration 
Basically we use mensuration in mathematics but in fact it is applied in our daily life like that shape of window, door door, rolling board etc. 


Read this article here we will try to solve problems related to parameter and area of other plane closed figures like quadrilateral, triangle, square, circle and rectangle etc.

Surface Areas and volumes
Area of plane shapes:-
  1. Area of Rectangle = Length ×Breath
  2. Area of Square = side×sid 
  3. Area of Triangle = 1/2×base ×hight
  4. Area of Parallelogram = base ×hight
  5. Area of Circle = πr² or πd²/4
  6. Area of circular ring                = π(R²-r²) or π(R+r)(R-r)

Sarface area solid shapes
  1. Surface area of cuboid = 2 (lb+bh+hl)
  2. Lateral surface area of cuboid = 2(l+b)h
  3. Surface area of cube = 6×l²
  4. Surface area of cylinder = 2πr(r+h)
  5. Lateral sarface area of cylinder = 2πrh
  6. Lateral surface area of cone = πrl
  7. Total surface area of cone            = πr(l+r)
  8. Sarface area of sphere                   = 4πr²
  9. Lateral surface area of hemisphere = 2πr²
  10. Total surface area of hemisphere = 3πr2

Area of solid shapes
  1. Arer of trapezium                                 =1/2 (sum of the length of parallel sides)×hight
  2. Area of rhombus =1/2 (produced of diagnals)

Volume of solid shapes
  1. Volume of cuboid=        length×breath×height
  2. Volume of cube= (Side)³
  3. Volume of cylinder=πr²h
  4. Volume of cone = 1/3×πr²h
  5. Volume of sphere                               = 4/3×πr³
  6. Volume of hemisphere = 2/3×πr³

 Diagnonals
  1. Diagonals of cube   = √3×side
  2. Diagonals of cuboid = √l²+b²+h²
Perimeter
  1. Perimeter of circle = 2πr
  2. Perimeter of rectangle               = 2(l+b)
